Made by a mom who couldn't find these books.

I'm Gia, a mom in Boca Raton, Florida. This series started with a question at the kitchen table: "What does a plumber do?" I went looking for a picture book that answered it honestly, with a real grown-up doing the real job on a normal day, and I couldn't find one. There were biographies of famous people, lift-the-flap fact books, and cartoon characters wearing a helmet for one page. Nothing with a story a four-year-old would ask for again tomorrow.

So I made the books I wanted to read to my own kids. Maya, Theo, Zuri and Mateo are four friends who try on a different job in every book, with a real mentor, real tools and the funny, ordinary parts nobody tells kids about. Every book ends the same way, with a question instead of an answer: what do YOU want to be when you grow up? Because the point was never to pick a job. The point is that they know they get to.
